Technical InformationMSF Certification

  • Goal: Provide a globally recognized and trusted certification program for Next Generation Network elements, by addressing key issues necessary to deliver multi-vendor open architecture solutions. The MSF key deliverables are validated, commercially viable Implementation Agreements (IAs).

  • Certification Pilot Program Technical Scope: Intial focus verifies technical components of RTCP implementations in media gateways and SIP end-points, and the accuracy of reported network statistics. Subsequent testing, scheduled for early 2008, will address detailed aspects of SIP interconnect.

  • Timeline: Registration for testing is open immediately. The first certification tests will start in September 2007. The first group of MSF certified vendors will be announced during the first quarter of 2008.

  • Requirements for Submission: Vendors who submit a system for certification must be an MSF member.
