Frank Suraci, GETS/WPS Program Director

Frank Suraci, currently assigned to the Federal Government's Office of the Manager, National Communications System (OMNCS), Programs & Technology Division, has
served in a management capacity for the Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS)Program for over fifteen years. He has been responsible for taking GETS
from a concept in 1990 to the operational service it is today. His responsibility initially as the GETS Program Manager and then the Technical Director was to lead the initial
acquisition of the GETS service, plan, oversee software development, laboratory and live network testing, and deployment of GETS capabilities in local exchange and long
distance networks nationwide. Mr. Suraci servedon the White House Convergence Working Group providing inputs on the impact of Network Convergence on NS/EP Communications
The current focus is planning and development of the evolution of the GETS and the Wireless Priority Service (WPS) capabilities to the Next Generation Networks.
